Wild cards!
Okay, it's Wild Card Day, where we try a few last crazy ideas before going into the final. A note about Wild Carding--never, EVER do this on a real job with an art director. It almost never ends well. Either you get stuck with your worst idea, or you end up starting all over again.
These ideas are more princess-y. I feel there are lots of sassy, gear-laden, multi-belted girl-heros. But I can't think of anyone who fights crime in a poofy gown.
What should we plug into our existing designs?
Warning! The following is video game talk!
Dark Souls, the sequel to Demon's Souls (my favorite video game this generation) comes out tomorrow. I've had it pre-ordered since May. And speaking of character design, I have to choose a starting character class. In Demon's Souls, I played as a "Soldier." When given a choice, I like to play games as the everyman (no thief or magic classes for me.) There is no "Soldier" class in Dark Souls--they swapped it for "Warrior," which I don't care for.
I'm thinking of going with a "Hunter," or possibly a "Wanderer." And I think I'm going with a female character this time. In Demon's Souls I was a dude.
Anyway, I'm very excited. I haven't picked up a controller for months. Some quality game-time is just what the doctor ordered.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Yay for fun new looks!
Let's see...I like wildcards B, F, and H. In particular, I like the streamlined outer but poofy interior of B (the petticoats). I really like the shape & length of the skirt on F (that bodice is nice too)...those shoes are kinda cute, too--especially if they had silver kick-villain edges :D Ooh, and I really love the bat-wing edge of skirt H. In fact...could we see that skirt edge on a dress shaped like F?
I will also say--I definitely prefer the eye masks to the Zoro-esque full head mask w/ tails. I still love pigtails, but I could also deal with the shoulder-length full-bodied hair.
Like the up do.
The petticoats are def the way to go. I like the idea of having a stealthy exterior (mostly black, true to the bat part of her persona) but with a frilly (pink?) interior. Color is an important aspect of the whole princess fantasy, but it is also important to the batman part, too. Finding a way to work in both princess-pink and batman-black would be ideal--and doing it so that you don't compromise the stealth of the black nor the femininity of the pink. So I think petticoats are a winner idea.
I'm also with Opaleyz about the bat-wing edged skirt in H. Very batman-y.
Speaking of video games, I spoke to a repairman yesterday on the phone who must be the rarely-mentioned brother to Mario and Luigi. I think he's been unfairly slighted because he chose clock repair rather than plumbing, but he voice is unmistakable. I haven't seen the guy yet, but I want to. I'm also a little afraid that he won't look the part at all, which would make me very sad.
I like E and I best. G makes me think of Lady Gaga, with her massive shoulder-thing, but I like the dress below that. I support jw's pink petticoat idea.
And in video games I usually go with the sorceror option. Magic!
Yay for frilly petticoats! And I like the shoes on F, I always feel that I could run faster in flats than clunky boots
Wildcard "I" gets my vote, kind of a spawn meets batman look (although I still like the hair in G, notwithstanding the Lady Gaga outfit)...
I like the dresses on E and I, and G is also fun. Action pose B is awesome. I disagree with the other commenters about the skirt on H--yes it's bat-esque but it's not princessy enough.
Love the dress/boot combo on B, it makes it princessy, but still pretty legit crimefighter. C's hat is pretty nifty, but I still prefer A's mask. The hair needs more curl/poof though.

I am also loving B. She looks so pretty and hardcore at the same time!
I really like the poofy skirt on B should have the top and boots of
D2.
f and h are totally sweet
I like the dress for E. So cute, fun, and princessy. The petticoats showing in B are also fun. I still like the boats on D2 with the slit in the skirt.
I agree with jw about adding some color. Pink is definitely the princess style.
I think E is a little to Disney Cinderella for me. I like F and H though. And I agree that more color would be good too.
You might want to fix the link to your portfolio on your www.com website. Shannon finally got around to updating it.
Love B.
