I second Jack and Punzie.

(You know you want to draw them again.)

Lancelot's expression after Sir Galahad unhorses him and another knight and then goes on his way.

My daughter says: Isi wind speaking, Enna fire speaking and Dasha water speaking all with their backs to eachother. (Forest Born)

I say: Jack and Punzie as hobbits traveling with Gandalf. And Gollum is following, hidden.

from Isabel age 7:
I love Charlotte's Web. The scene of Wilbur the pig watching Charlotte's babies hatch.

In the book Howl's moving castle: The part where Sophie (enchanted to look like a grandma), makes a deal with Calcifer, the fire demon, in the fire place of the house with chicken legs.

This is the coolest picture ever. So clever!

How about... Peter Rabbit masquerading as the Easter Bunny so that he can sneak into houses and steal carrots from the fridge.

Christopher Chant with the mermaids who are teasing him and saying, "Clistopher! What is it that makes you a clistopher?"

(From The Lives of Christopher Chant by Diana Wynne Jones. One of my favorite books from my childhood)

The fantastic Mr. Fox, stuck in the great glass elevator.

Yes please to anything Diane Wynne Jones. Great ideas but how about Christopher in one of his crazy dressing gowns from Charmed Life?

Alina Klein said...

Yes! Diana Wynne Jones! Maybe the scene from Howl's Moving Castle when Howl is perishing from a cold. Old Sophie is sewing his suit back together after cutting it all up in teeny triangles. And his hair has been turned purple from whatever she did to his tinctures in the bathroom. :D Calcifer would be overlooking it all.

The one you posted today has kept me laughing all day. Fabulous!

My son Uly wants to play, he says: The scene from Ender's Game where Ender freezes his team into a space-ship shape in the battle room.

Your son has the right idea. I would love to see anything from Ender's Game.

In The Golem's Eye, book 2 of Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus trilogy, there is a wonderful scene.
The djinni Bartimaeus is in the British Museum in the form of a big, tough minotaur. He has just realized that the enemy he was about to pounce on is way out of his league, so instead he tries to tip-toe daintily away unseen.

In the Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, Harimad and Corlath have a one on one duel on horseback at dusk. Corlath is dressed in his robes, obscuring his face until the end.

The part of Percy Jackson where Percy falls off the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and into the river, during the explosion.

Rabadash the Ridiculous from The Horse and His Boy when he becomes ridiculous (turns into a donkey).

If you don't do Jack and Punzie, I have an alternate idea:

The scene from The Clockwork Three where Giuseppe is playing his green violin on a street corner and everyone going about their business stops to listen.

All of the ideas that other people submitted are great too! I especially like Aliana's submission from Howl's moving Castle. And also Chris's from The Golem's Eye. Gahh, they're just all so good!
