Another peek at the Princess as her mild-mannered alter-ego.
She's a Princess who disguises herself as a Princess.
Here, she's having hot cocoa and scones with a fat duchess. You can't spend ALL your time fighting bunnies.

This is the last week of Princess BATMAN. We'll have two more images, then start with something new next week. (Something Halloween-y!)
BREAKING NEWS!
Remember a week or so ago, when I was up for a big job? Well, I just found out that I got it! Hooray! It is the rarest of all freelance illustrator jobs: a long-term, well paying, BIG job. It's a full textbook for an educational press and it will keep me in LEGO bricks for many months to come.
I don't usually talk about my day-to-day contracts here on the blog, but this one caused so much commotion last week, I thought I'd share the news.

I could go for some hot cocoa right now... Would Princess Batman and the Fat Duchess be willing to share, perchance?
P.G. Wodehouse has a story where someone has to impersonate himself. It can be a real challeng, and hilarious.
Congrats on the job. What type of textbook is it? (Or are you not allowed to say?)
I would like to tell you right now how happy Princess Batman makes me. Congrats on the job!
YEAH! Go Nathan!
Helene: I'll take the scones over the hot cocoa. I'll eat a scone at any time, day or night.
Margie: I think I've read that one--is it a Jeeves story?
Chris: I'll let you know next summer, when I finish. I don't want to overshare on works-in-progress/client jobs.
Leila: Thanks!
And thank you too Anonymous!
I'm pretty sure it is not a Jeeves book. I think (but am not sure) it was a book that when I read it was called "The Plot That Thickened" it is also known as "Pearls, Girls and Monty Bodkin".
Congratulations on the job. I hope you can keep up the space station. I look forward to it every day.
Hooray, more Legos for Nate! Congrats!
