Phew. I thought these would be easier than the drawn comics--after all, it's just taking pictures right? Yikes, I never, EVER, EVER want to try my hand at stop-motion animation. Just setting these guys up without knocking them all down was tricky. I have a whole new appreciation for the work that goes into a Wallace and Gromit.
I love the Wallace and Gromit where they go to the moon because "everyone knows the moon is made of cheese."
ReplyDeleteI am quite impressed with the cinematography, actually.
ReplyDeleteI love these :). Maybe a little double stick tape on their feet would help with the toppling issue? How long does it take to make one of these?
ReplyDeleteMyrna--Wallace and Gromit is one of the few children's franchises that I have TOTAL respect for. They do fantastic work!
ReplyDeleteJilly--Thanks, I'm a lousy photographer. My camera can't go any tighter on those tiny figures, and I can't get that yellow tinge out of the background--even with Photoshop.
DavidM--I have some kneaded eraser sticking to some of the feet. I did the Photo shoot on monday, it took about an hour and a half, then I've been taking an hour or so each day to cut and paste them into the final product--in other words; WAY longer than the usual comics!
Completely off-topic: last night I had an odd dream in which I went to get my hair cut and you were the barber. If that means something, I don't know what it is.
ReplyDeleteJust in case, though, you might want to brush up on your hair dressing skills.
Chris--Ahhh Hahaha! That's hilarious--especially considering that my hair is generally a mess.
ReplyDeleteLast night must have been "weird jobs" dream night, because I dreamed that there was a cafe inside a Best Buy store, and that Shannon Hale was working the grill. True story, I really had that dream last night.
These are so much fun. Glad you're doing them!
ReplyDeleteSo we FINALLY got our copy of Calamity Jack yesterday and half of us have read it. We already want another sequel, so. . . . ?
ReplyDeleteHow is this word verification for a descriptive action word for Rapunzel: redraisa !
A Close Shave is my favorite. I have a thing for the sheep. I haven't seen the new one, yet.
ReplyDeletehey Nate! This is Ani, your second cousin. My sister Lissa & I are using my mom's account to ask you this: you know the guy that Jack trips to steal his lunch? That looks almost exactly like Freddie, but younger!!! Are they the same guy?!? We are desperate for the answer! Please comment soon.
ReplyDeletep.s. the word verification is derdines.... I hope their better than sardines!
Nice catch Ani and Lissa! That guy Jack trips is totally young Freddie.
ReplyDeleteThe way the book market has been, I just might need to go apply at the Best Buy Grill.
