Oh boy, now you've done it. You seemed to enjoy the LEGO post...so it is continuing.

  5. So much fun! Why are Legos so darn entertaining?

  6. 1. I appreciate that you always use the correct, all-caps form of the word LEGO. The LEGO Group surely appreciates you. (Not to mention your continued purchasing of LEGO products.)

    2. Meta! I love that the LEGO versions of the characters are looking at their print counterparts. It's so postmodern.

    3. Everything is better with vikings. They're better than pirates in my book. This has the potential to become the Best Thing Ever on the Space Station. Yes, this might be better than Chuck. No pressure, though.

    4. Our LEGO bricks are all mixed up, so you can't tell which comes from where anymore. It's like some freakshow where a Catwoman head might be on a Luke Skywalker body being chased by one of those crystal eater things from the Power Miners sets. And then there's Bionicles: whoa boy.

  7. Wow! Seven comments before 9 am! Thats a station record!

I'll keep the color coded bubbles--they seem to be a hit. David M. I do have my box of LEGO from when I was a kid--I'm pretty sure I've never lost a single piece.

jw--Where to begin. Thanks for noticing my correct usage of the term LEGO. It's like Play-Doh, you don't make things out of Play-Dohs, you make things out of Play-Doh.

The Vikings were a great line. For a while they weren't going to release them in the states, they didn't think there was much US appeal, instead we were getting "Dino-Attack," where little military dudes fight dinosaurs, remember that? Anyway, they caved to US fans and released the Vikings here.

I'm strict about keeping the mini-figs together, and in mint condition. Why? The resale market. No joke, I've made close to $1000 selling old minifigs on the LEGO black market (ebay.) There's a minifig out there, "Jango Fett" from Star Wars Episode II (blech) that sells for $90+ I had two of him. That Catwoman runs around $20, but I can't sell my Catwoman!

The Bionicle line ends this year. For better or for worse, it's over. (I won't miss it. My son liked them for a while, but were all about the "System" bricks, not the prefab Bionicle bits.)

  8. Talking toys have always creeped me out since I snuck and saw the R rated Magic with Anthony Hopkins when I was in high school. Do any other inanimate objects get up and wander about at your house?

Continue on however, I will try and still my jitters.

  9. I have a weird but awesome idea, Reepecheep the mouse comes in and get rid of a few men and falls in love with Pru. Weird but awesome (a little).

  10. DaNae--You are right about talking toys--creepy. Somehow, though, I'm okay with talking LEGO. I never EVER want to see a talking Cabbage Patch Kid. Holy nightmares!

Edith--Thanks they are 100% made up runes. I think actual runes are 100% made up too.

    Pussreboots--Just you wait.

Stuart--That is one wild idea, Stuart. I'd have to use a live mouse, because I don't have a lego mouse--(actually I do, but the lego mouse is a totally boring mouse, a brown lump with a tail.) In any case, I will take your idea into consideration....when and if I catch a mouse.
