Work In Progress

Just poking my head above ground for a minute. This blogging-free month has been a busy month for Hazardous Tales #4. Here's a sample of one 2-page spread in progress:

If all goes as planned, this book will be out next spring.

How is everyone liking DONNER DINNER PARTY? Do me a favor and post your reviews on your favorite review-posting locations--even if it's just a hand-written note on your fridge!

  4. My name is Benjamin. I'm 11 years old, and I've read One Dead Spy and Big Bad Ironclad. I'm reading Donner Dinner Party right now and I really like it. I'm excited you're writing more. Maybe someday you could write about WW1 and WW2.

  5. Hi,

I am a new teacher and found a few of my students reading your books. What reading level are they intended for? Can you provide a Fountas and Pinnell guided reading level?

    Thank a new Fan ;-)

  6. Hi,

I am Kennedy and I just turned 9 two days ago. I read two of your books in one day and am wait to get the third book from the library. I really like the date spiral on the back of the books. I hope it means you will be writing a book for each date especially one that covers WWII.

  7. I am in love with the whole series. My son and I read The Donner Dinner Party together and enjoyed every moment. We both appreciate the humor injected into a rather dark tale. It was right up our alley. As a middle school teacher of English Language Learners, I couldn't wait to introduce the books to them. They are written at their grade level, and are highly engaging. The kids fight over the copies that I have. Kuddos, Mr. Hale! We can't wait for your next book.
