I read a book called "The Disappearing Spoon:And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements" It has a story about a secret German mining company that killed a man in Colorado(Nevada?) and took over his mine in order to ship molybdenum to Germany for their guns. The book said it was the only battle fought in the United States during WW1. History is fascinating!
Whoa! I had never heard of this!
