This was the first of the BOTS where I had to choose a specific one to build, since they all look different. I think I picked the right one.
Over the past week, I've had TWO people inform me that their CALAMITY JACK avatar never made it to them. One in the comment section, and one at my signing at the King's English. Remember the JACK avatar thing, WAAAY last January? I thought I had finished and sent them all long ago. But some (two, at least) never made it. I've sent those two out (you know who you are) is there anyone else? I hate to think I'm missing anyone. Shoot me a message if you never received your avatar (and you qualified.)
This is my favorite of the LEGO bots so far. Do you think you can get LEGO to market bot sets to sell with your books? Then you could be merchandised.
ReplyDeleteCool idea, Chris! This is my favorite too. I love the wrenches for the eyes and the jointed arms and legs.
ReplyDeleteMy dream is to work for LEGO. I would seriously drop everything and move to Denmark if I had the chance.
ReplyDeleteThanks for noticing the wrenches, SaraH, I was pretty proud of that part usage.
These are awesome! Just how many lego sets do you have?
ReplyDeleteOh boy, that's a tough question. Let's just say I have a LEGO room. Small, but it's a room. Well, more of a large closet. But if my collection were to fall on you, you would definitely die. It's a problem.
ReplyDeleteAre you ever going to do another LEGO comic thing like Punzie/Jack/Freddie/Viking one? (btw, I copied your vikings' speech bubbles for my halloween costume, so ty for that)
ReplyDeleteSome day--the LEGO comic was a lot of fun, although that was more work logistically than practically any other comic project I've done on the site. Some day I'd like to pitch a whole picture book in the LEGO comic style.
