"JURASSIC WATER PARK" 14

Happy May everyone! This story is a two month spanner! We're about half way through JURASSIC WATER PARK. This story will have around 30 posts (and when it's finished, it'll be a sketch dummy for a 32 page picture book. Ta-dah!)

We will be celebrating the ONE YEAR anniversary of the web-comic this month. I'm not sure of the exact date that I started the CHUCK THE LAZY ISOPOD comic last year, and I'm too tired to look it up right now (really? just a few clicks?) but I'm 90% certain it was in May. Anyway, a full year of web-comics! Hooray!

  1. Woah that year went by fast. It was definitely fun! Are you sure you're already a toddler?

  2. FACT: Isopod week started on May 22 but the first web-comic was not till the 23

  3. Sarah--phew, feels way LONGER than a year to me. I feel like I've been doing this forever.

Stuart--Yeah picture book! Practically everything I do on this site is picture book practice. I'd love to do Jurassic Water Park as a full color, super-sized picture book.

Brandon--Ah, thanks for looking that up. Yeah, Isopods kicked off the weekday web-comic posting. Isopods, who'd a thunk?

  5. JWP keeps getting more exciting!
As good as the story is, I think the main strength of this book is actually the fact that you have sent the parents along with them on the adventure. So many books have the kids do things alone while the parents are clueless or adversarial.
It is great to have the whole family along on the outing together, and in (out of) the same boat.

  6. Hooray for the web-comic! It's great fun, Nate. Can't wait to see where the JWP is going. Love the smiling baby.

  7. Fun idea for a PB. That's a great way to get in some practice and write a story all at the same time. I'll have to try it sometime.
