That said, they've put up the paperback of RAPUNZEL'S REVENGE for $6 again. If you remember, they did this a few months back and it didn't last long. So if you are the rare blog reader that DOESN'T have a Rapunzel, this is your chance. The paperback, which is very nice (but not nearly as awesome as the hardcover) usually retails for $15. So buy a copy for a friend--just in time for Calamity Jack, which should be creeping into stores in the next three weeks.
By the way, I'll do a custom drawing, say a blog banner or an avatar, for the first person to send me a photo of Calamity Jack on sale in a bookstore.
{UPDATE! This Thanksgiving Weekend Deal is OVER! I hope everyone who wanted one got one! THEY ARE SOLD OUT!}
Amazon.com says that "Calamity Jack" will be available January 5th. Will it be available before Christmas anywhere else? I'd love to pick up a copy for my son as a gift!
ReplyDeleteI've been told it will sneak out 2-3 weeks before the "Official Release." It SHOULD be in stores mid December. I'm not sure how that works, but that's the word I've gotten.
ReplyDeleteI hope it does--seems kinda dumb to release a book a week AFTER Christmas. I'm sure the publisher has some kind of plan(?)
I don't really understand how publishing works. I jus' draws de peectures.
Yeah, a January release is a bit of a head-scratcher, for sure. Beginning of December makes a lot more sense!
ReplyDeleteI'll pick one up (and have you autograph it next time I see you around!) in December if I can. Otherwise, my son's birthday is in February, so...
I bought five of them for Christmas presents!
ReplyDeleteHow are they getting Calamity Jack out so fast? I thought it took a year?
Woohoo! Go Edith! That's what I like to hear!
ReplyDeleteThey've moved pretty quick on printing on Calamity Jack. But it looks fantastic. I have a FINAL COPY on hand now (still waiting for my box of copies...) but it really looks good, especially next to Rapunzel on a shelf.
