Tune in tomorrow for the start of the Yellowbelly/Shannon Hale interview!
Thanks to everyone who came to the Authorpalooza yesterday night. I handed out a carload of Rapunzel posters and got to meet some of the star commenters on the site! Big fun!
WHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Only the best author non-illustrator ever, is coming here, to the AWESOME station! YAY!!!! HOW EXCITING! (:
Hey Nathan! I just found your blog this morning and wanted to say hi after meeting you last night. It was so cool to realize that I actually knew you at OHS! My husband, who also went to Orem High, said, "Nathan Hale? Oh yeah. Of course. He graduated my year."
So my question for you is: are you related to the Hales from Hale Center Theater? If so, I have a tiny little story to share with you. :)
My son is super excited about the Rapunzel's Revenge poster you signed for him. Thanks! I'll subscribe to this blog--looks like a fun one! :)
Wow! So many comments so fast! It is official, Shannon Hale is more popular than a werewolf with handlebars.
And yes, Juliana, I am from the Hale Center Theater, my parents run the Orem theater. I grew up there doing the lighting, scenery, and a few times, (shudder) even acting. I actually lived IN the theater building for a few years, in a little upstairs apartment. True story.
Nathan, that's awesome! I can't imagine living in the upstairs of the theater! So cool and funky and unique! My voice teacher and her husband have both been in plays within the lat year. Someday, when I'm a good enough singer that I don't want to puke when I perform, I'll try out for something, too! Ha ha!
So Ruth Hale was your grandmother maybe? I decided the story, simple as it is, is blog worthy, so I'm going to blog it and then I'll send you the link!
Me too, can I have a poster? And you are a great actor, Nate! You always seemed like you were lounging around in your own livingroom, on stage. Ryan was the same.
Delia and Sarah--let's see, how can I get you a poster? They are fairly big, and not folded. If we could work out some sort of mailing tube situation I could certainly hook you up with a Rapunzel poster. Any ideas?
Thank you, that's really generous! I think tubes would work, I can't think of any other options. Of course, I would be happy to pay for shipping and packaging.
YAY! Shannon Hale! And Yellowbelly!
